Designed an infographic for usage on a blog page on Educative.io.
The infographic was inspired by a building-block style design that the client provided. I implemented this concept in my design with a modern twist.
I chose colors informed by preexisting content on the blog already. I chose to make the blocks vibrant to draw the eye in, while directly using hints of those same colors to tie the text boxes specifically to their respective blocks.
This design was heavily text based, so it was important to balance function and form. The resulting design achieves this as it is both legible and aesthetically pleasing.
The client communicated their needs and expectations by providing an inspirational image and the copy for the design. Because I had a clear idea of the layout the client wanted, I jumped right into digital production of the infographic. I continually tested different design styles in order to arrive at a final design that was both legible and aesthetically pleasing.
